My Birthday Party

It sucks that I couldn't tell you about my birthday party right after it because my computer kept on crashing this site for awhile. But now, I am back and let me tell you now, my birthday was the bomb!!! That means it was awesome for those who are too lame to know what it is. Just kidding! Anyway my birthday was on a Saturday night and everybody arrived in a matter of 10 minutes. Althia, Morgane, Blake, Divine, Matt, Kendall, Shannon, Skylar, and Caroline showed up at my house. We started out by toasting to me with the awesome plastic cups and then we played Rock Band since it was a rock star party. The dinner that my mom made wasn't just pizza it was BAKED ZITI! It's this delicious pasta that she made. And then the cake had music notes on it and we had Dance Dance Revolution in the playroom. I am just soooo glad that everyone had a great time and I'm writing soon. I'm back, I swear! COMMENTS HIGHLY APPRECIATED!

Thanksgiving

Hi, everyone! I am extremely happy because in 3 days (December 1st) it's my birthday! So be sure to wish me happy birthday. But I want to tell you about my Thanksgiving in Jacksonville. Well, first, the food was delicious. Thanks to Desi. She made turkey, ham, stuffing, macaroni, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, cabbage, and rolls. And for dessert she made this cake that had chocolate inside. There was more than just four of us. In all, there were eight people who were here and ate. It wasn't like last year where we went around the table and said what we were thankful for and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but I still loved every minute of it. After we finished dinner, we were all tired so we all found room on the couch and decided to watch the Discovery Channel and the Science Channel. They're actually pretty funny channels. On Thanksgiving Break

Hi people of the world, I wanted to just give a little update before Thanksgiving. I'm in Jacksonville, FL. It's a pretty awesome place especially when your dad has a condo on the top floor right across from the beach. But anyway it's me second day here and I'm having a great time with everyone. After Thanksgiving, I'll (of course) tell you all about it and then Dec. 6 is my birthday party and I will totally tell you about it. Sorry to anyone who is not going to be at the year's best party. Dancing

What's up peeps! Just kidding. I dance at a dance school and we have recitals at the end of the year. Last year, I didn't exactly like it, but this year I'm back into it. Anyway, in my hip hop class we did spots for a section of the dance that we're doing for the recital. I wasn't exactly confident I would make it anywhere close to the front row because in my past years I have always been the tallest. Which of course got annoying but today, in class, sitting against the mirror, I was called second and... I MADE FRONT ROW, SECOND TO THE MIDDLE!!! Woooooooo!! I was dancing with joy in my head and as I walked out of the school, when I got in the car, on my way home, and as I walked in the house. But at any given moment I could be placed in the second, third, or hopefully not fourth row. Usually the second to last and last rows are for the losers (except the advanced dance teams) so I'm assured that I will not be in those rows. Wow, that sounded conceited. Anyway, wish me luck so I can stay in the front row. COMMENTS HIGHLY APPRECIATED!!

Living LIfe

Well, I'm still in the second quarter and things are running pretty smoothly. I've got homework here and there, sometimes less than my brother who is only in fourth grade. But I'm starting to get more and more homework each day (mostly week). Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with doing more homework but I just feel like it's piling up on me. Sometimes I catch myself procrastinating or something like that and it gets me so mad because I just want to finish the stupid homework. And what's really annoying I'm supposed to be finishing an assignment right at this second! Eeergh!

It's the next morning, I got done just at the time I'm supposed to go to bed, and thankfully I got with all my homework. So I guess now is when I say COMMENTS HIGHLY APPRECIATED!!!! ummmmmm....bye.

"Starting Fresh"

All right, so I am one fourth into the school year which means today was the end of the first quarter. That means I get new connections ( ex. gym, health etc.), and I was soooooo angry when I found out I had art and band. I have band for the whole year but art was the on connection I didn't want. And of course I got it. It's probably karma. CURSE KARMA!!! ANYWAY, I'm just saying, I wasn't so good at art last year (other than the whole coloring book drawing thing) and I don't want the same complications. I didn't do well in coloring or listening or drawing. To me, that isn't what I like to do in my free time. I like loud music and doing stuff outside not staying inside trying to draw some stupid mirage to the eyes. Bad experience, trust me. But thankfully I heard that there's a new art teacher and she's super nice. So hopefully everything turns out OK. COMMENTS APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm back!!

Sup peeps it's Taylor, incase you forgot about me, and I am ready to type again. I'm sorry I kind of gave up on the trip history. I've just been so busy or lazy. ANYWAY, I started school again and it rocks!!!! I love school, I probably sound like a nerd but it's true. I love lockers and different classes, psycho teachers, peaceful teachers, and so many new friends. I now play the clarinet. I really want the saxophone but, as everyone knows, life isn't fair. That phrase comes into my life so many but back to the topic, the clarinet is so more sophisticated than the one you see Squidward playing in Spongebob. In some way I REALLY REALLY want it to start getting cold. I am sick of the humidity and hotness. That's why I like winter so much. Well hopefully, it'll start getting cooler out. My Vacation Part 2

Ok, you heard Part 1 so I'll tell you some more about my trip. After South Africa, we went to Hong Kong. We were only staying there for two days. Let me tell you if you ever go to Hong Kong speak as clear as you can. Or try to bring a friend or something because most people in Hong Kong do not speak english. We still went shopping my favorite part. I got a bunch of clothes. I had one of my fave drinks... BUBBLE TEA!!! It's some kind of tea with these tiny, black, jelly-like bubbles. I had it in Canada too. That's how I found out about it. Anyway we stayed in this hotel that was literally attached to a mall. And you should pretty much know where I spent most of that part of the vacation. Haha. We left at 8 in the morning for a plane to Tokyo. I was kind of sad because we had to leave Hong Kong so early. The hotel was nice and we didn't go to all the malls but I was pretty psyched to be going to Tokyo. There's a one hour difference between Hong Kong and Tokyo. We got there around three and went through baggage claim and customs and all that crap. After the crap, I was starving so before we left to the hotel, I got some croissant with chocolate inside. It was pretty good. Anything would've been good at that point. We thought we were getting a driver to the hotel but then we found out we were taking a bus. That wasn't really good because we were on that bus for three hours. Eventually we got to the hotel, It's called the Mitsui. When we got to our room there was really only word to describe it by... squished.

My Vacation Part 1

Well, I finally got to South Africa, I'm actually in Hong Kong right now but I'll start my vacation from the beginning. We left on a flight to Johannesburg, South Africa. It was a connecting flight so we had to stop and drop some passengers off, each flight was eight hours. And sometimes your sleep schedule gets messed up but luckily mine hasn't. I tend to sleep almost TOO much. We went to a reserve in the safari to stay in a lodge that I highly recommend. It was called Chitwa Chitwa. It had the nicest staff but the worst shower knobs and heads. When we went on the safari drive we saw elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, lions, giraffes, zebras, impalas, nyalas, hippos, crocodiles, baboons, and warthogs. Look up what it is if you don't know what any of the animals are. It was freezing though. There were 2 drives a day, one in the morning (which you had to wake up at 5:45 to go), and one in the late afternoon until after dark. In the mornings I would wear 4 layers. I know... it's surprising how cold it can get in South Africa. After 4 days we left to a 5 star hotel which I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend to stay at. Its called Grootbos. It's about 140 kilometers away from Cape Town. It's the best. Everything there was amazing! I made two and a half friends there. Alex, Harry, and the half was little Cosmo. They were from Singapore. Unfortunately there was no sister. We still were good friends. Alex was my age. Harry was a little bit older than Liam. And then there was just Cosmo but he's still adorable and ticklish. Ye, we spent 3 days there. Just hanging out there.

My Day at the Thrift Store

Today I was signed to volunteer at the thrift store. At first the head lady called me a spoiled brat because I haven't volunteered much (or ever). I started off cleaning and arranging in the arts and crafts section. When I was arranging, I broke a picture that was already broken. Luckily I had the broom right next to me. Then I went over to a bucket full of crutches, I fell. Those things are hard! Anyway, a little later I met this girl Mariah (no not the singer) who has been volunteering there everyday. She was a year younger than me. I didn't really care. We hung so many clothes. I had to go back to the "back" to get more hangers like 1000 times. After that we swept some more. After a while we started making a pattern-break, sweep, break, sweep, break, sweep, break, break, break. I'm going back on Friday.

Today I got on a plane to Jacksonville. I got up at about 6 this morning and got on a plane at 9:30. It was a pretty short flight. After that my dad's assistant picked us up and drove us to the condo. We had some lunch and then we went to the pool. We got back and I was exhausted. Right after I fell asleep it began to thunder and rain and a little lightning. But I slept right through it. I fell asleep with my IPod on. I think I fell asleep to As the Rush Comes. It's a techno-y song. It's a really awesome song. You can get it on ITunes. I think. I woke up when I smelled what Peggy (my dad's assistant) was making for dinner. So I went to my bag to get all my shower stuff later and since they had to switch some stuff around on the plane earlier, apparently my bag was squished between two others and they opened and it smelled like a tropical breeze. Then I ended up right here so... ye. COMMENTS HIGHLY APPRECIATED!!!!

My summer vacation

Guess where I'm going for summer vacation. It's somewhere far far away. OK, stop guessing because I'm going to tell you... South Africa, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and San Fransisco!!! It's an around the world trip. I'm going to get souvenirs from all the places. In my new grade I'll be able to say that I've been to 3 continents! There's this one thing that's not so good that I'll be doing, reading. I have to. It's required for my next grade. Dad, don't get any ideas. I have to read three books. Except the third one is picked by someone else. I guess I can do most my reading on the plane. I heard you get a meal. That's exciting for me because I've never been on such long flight. Well the school year is almost over. There's only 8 more days left. I'm so sad it went by so fast. Isn't it so weird when you remember the first day of school and now the year's almost done. On the last day, I'm sure everyone will be sobbing and whimpering like little puppies. I might be crying just a little. It was the same deal last year too. Not that much though. Anyway WHOA, I remembered from the last day of school from last year. All the the teachers were giving their goodbye kisses and asking what everybody was to do that summer. You know what sucks for my grade, you have to read two novels over the summer. I rather be at the beach or in the safari (which I will talk to you about later)!!!!!
